Student Writers From MVC Win Awards At College Media Conference

The staff of the Missouri Valley College student newspaper, The Delta, earned seven awards at the annual Missouri College Media Association conference earlier this month 1 at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau.
The awards included first place in both In-depth News Reporting and Opinion Column writing, won by Marc Rodriguez and Joao Vitor Bonanoni, respectively. Bonanoni also received third place in Investigative Reporting.
Additionally,Thania Figueroa took third place Opinion Column and Laura Quero received an honorable mention in Sports Writing. The staff of KMVC news, which produces news videos appearing on The Delta’s website, received second and third place in the Video category
