“I’m blessed to serve as your campus Chaplain.”
My name is Paul List, and I’m blessed to serve as the campus Chaplain for Missouri Valley University. I love bonding with students and connecting them with the community and local churches, and I enjoy seeing the spiritual and personal growth in students who get involved and say yes to the many opportunities they’ll be offered here.
This campus has a global presence, with people from all over the world, and it’s a blessing to help students from every walk of life and faith. As an ordained pastor, my faith in Jesus leads me to minister with compassion, patience, and love to all.
About Rev. List
Paul grew up just north of the river in Carroll County, Missouri. He earned an associate degree in industrial electricity from Linn Tech and a bachelor’s degree in industrial technology from the University of Central Missouri. After ten years in the pipeline industry, he felt called to ministry and earned a Master of Theological Studies and a Master of Divinity from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he’s now pursuing a Doctor of Ministry.
He and his wife, Patty Jo, who serves as the Copy Center and Mailroom Director, have three children: Ellie, Taylor, and Henry.

A place for prayer and devotion.
Stewart Chapel provides a space on campus for prayer and devotions, and it’s available for students to use at their request.
The chapel is open to every Valley student, regardless of cultural or religious background.
