My name is Paul List and I am blessed to serve as the campus Chaplain for Missouri Valley College! My role here allows me to coordinate and lead discipleship groups, integrate students with the diverse community here at MOVAL, and give them opportunities to help others through mission trips and the service projects. I love bonding with students and facilitating connections with the community and local churches. I enjoy seeing the spiritual and personal growth in students who choose to get involved and say yes to the many opportunities they will be offered during their time here. I am also available to all who need a listening ear for any reason. The Stewart Chapel on campus provides a space for prayer and devotions and is available for students to use at their request.
As Chaplain, I am available to meet, talk, pray, and help students in any way I can. I enjoy connecting with the various teams, coaches, faculty and staff that all serve as one big MOVAL family! This campus has a global presence with people from all over the world. It is a blessing to be able to help students from every walk of life and faith. As an ordained pastor, I minister to the various needs that the campus community might have. My faith in Jesus leads me to minister in compassion, patience and love to all. The campus chapel is open to every Valley student, regardless of cultural or religious background. I am excited to encourage our diverse body of students.
I am married to Patty Jo who serves as the Copy Center/Mailroom Director. We have three children: Ellie, Taylor and Henry. I grew up just north of the river in Carroll County Missouri. After High School I earned an Associate Degree in Industrial Electricity from Linn Tech and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from The University of Central Missouri. After ten years in the pipeline industry I felt called to ministry and completed a Master of Theological Studies and a Master of Divinity from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. I am currently enrolled in Midwestern’s Doctorate of Ministry Program.
