Student spotlight
Coaching college wrestling. Earning his master’s online.
James Overhiser wrestled at Cornell University, then coached at West Point and Stanford before joining the wrestling staff at Drexel University. Now he’s earning his Master of Arts in Educational Administration at Missouri Valley, preparing for a future leadership role such as athletic director.
Balancing full-time coaching with graduate school isn’t easy, but James credits MVU’s flexible curriculum, accessible professors, and easy-to-use online learning platform for making it work.
“The ability to self-pace my coursework is really important with my schedule. The flexibility is great, and the instructors have been very accessible.”
James Overhiser, MA in Educational Administration student
