Missouri Valley College is committed to providing a learning, working, and living environment that promotes personal integrity, civility, and mutual respect in an environment free of Sexual Harassment. Consistent with the U.S. Department of Education’s implementing regulations for Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (“Title IX”) (see 34 C.F.R. § 106 et seq.), the college prohibits Sexual Harassment that occurs within its education, programs, and activities. Missouri Valley College prohibits all forms of Sexual Misconduct, which include: Quid Pro Quo Sexual Harassment, Hostile Environment Sexual Harassment, Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, and Stalking.
Any person may report Sexual Harassment to the Title IX Coordinator. Reports may be made in person, by regular mail, telephone, electronic mail, or by any other means that result in the Title IX Coordinator receiving the person’s verbal or written report. In-person reports must be made during regular business hours. However, reports by regular mail, telephone, or electronic mail can be made at any time, including outside regular business hours.
Missouri Valley College has a Title IX Team composed of individuals who will ensure compliance as well as care for all parties involved in a Title IX complaint. Missouri Valley College offers anyone on its campus the ability to report a crime or incident. Furthermore, any individual can notify any professional staff or faculty member of the college of a crime that has been committed, and it will be reported.
