We are now MVU! – President Announces Name Change

Missouri Valley College President Joe Parisi announced Friday one of the most significant milestones in the history of our institution. The board of trustees has approved changing from Missouri Valley College to Missouri Valley University.

For more than 135 years, Missouri Valley College has changed lives through personalized education, dedicated faculty and staff, and an unwavering commitment to student success. Every graduate who has walked across our stage is a reflection of your passion, your expertise, and your belief in the transformative power of education.

This is much more than a new name.

It is the result of years of intentional growth, strategic planning, and the collective work of an extraordinary campus community. Together, we have expanded academic opportunities, strengthened our partnerships with employers and communities, enhanced the student experience, and positioned Missouri Valley to meet the evolving needs of today’s learners and tomorrow’s workforce.

The university designation reflects who we have become and where we are going. As Missouri Valley University, we will continue to expand opportunities through:
