Missouri Valley College Names Dr. Zachary Templeton Dean of the School of Education and Social Sciences

MARSHALL, Mo. — Missouri Valley College is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Zachary Templeton as the new Dean of the School of Education and Social Sciences, bringing more than 25 years of educational leadership and a proven commitment to student success, innovation, and community engagement.

Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Templeton has served as a teacher, coach, principal, and superintendent, leading school districts through significant growth, organizational improvement, and initiatives that enhanced student achievement. His leadership has been recognized for building high-performing teams, cultivating collaborative partnerships, managing complex budgets, and implementing forward-thinking strategies that strengthen educational outcomes.

As superintendent, Dr. Templeton successfully guided districts through increased graduation rates, improved organizational effectiveness, and capital improvement projects that expanded educational opportunities for students and the communities they serve.

In his new role at Missouri Valley College, Dr. Templeton will lead the School of Education and Social Sciences, preparing the next generation of educators and social science professionals through rigorous academic programs, meaningful field experiences, and strong partnerships with schools, agencies, and community organizations. He is committed to student-centered leadership, fostering innovation, and ensuring graduates are well-prepared to make lasting contributions in their professions and communities.
