The Missouri Valley College Student Research Symposium Committee is seeking proposals of student academic, creative, and professional work. Accepted proposals will be presented during the MVC Student Research Symposium on Monday, December 8. This all-day event is free and open to the public.

The symposium committee encourages submissions of oral presentations, posters, graduate presentations, and creative works of both performance and visual art. The top presenters in each category will receive Excellence in Student Research Awards. A title and abstract (150-200 words) of the student’s poster, presentation or performance must be submitted by midnight on November 3.

“As a student, Missouri Valley College’s Research Symposium allows me to apply what I have learned to real-world research experiences, which enhances my academic and personal growth,” said Axel Garcia, senior history and psychology major. “It is a great opportunity to share my knowledge, work professionally, and prepare for the future.”

The Student Research Symposium is sponsored by the Missouri Valley College Office of Academic Affairs, the MVC Office of the President, Alpha Chi, the School of Business and Technology, the School of Arts and Humanities, the School of Education & Social Sciences, the MVC Honors Program, the MACC Program, the School of Science and Agriculture, the MVC Libraries, and the School of Nursing and Health Sciences.
