Where accounting professionals track monetary transactions, finance professionals determine the strategy or management of money and other resources. The finance program at Missouri Valley College will prepare you to succeed in a number of areas within the financial field including resource allocation, resource management, acquisition and investment. Every area of business uses the techniques and skills taught in courses on finance and entities like banks, insurance companies, brokerage houses, and governments are especially interested in individuals trained in finance.

Programs

Degree in Finance

Students earning a bachelor’s degree in finance must demonstrate knowledge in the business core, you’ll do this through additional coursework in accounting, finance, business law, economics and marketing. The finance degree program covers topics including profitability, liquidity, debt and asset utilization ratios. Many students choose to double major in accounting.
