A graduate of Northern Illinois University and an alumnus of New Trier High School’s Menz Dance. Under the direction of Christopher Rutt, he danced professionally in many companies across the United States, including Fort Wayne Ballet, Wonderbound, and Mareck Dance- formally Missouri Contemporary Ballet. Many of his works enlist his wide array of skills to engineer, construct, and program props designed to connect audience members with the storytelling of each dance. The spectrum of his work ranges from short films set in locales as varied as swimming pools and desert dunes, to staged dances with moving walls and falling rose petals. In 2022, he was the Director’s Choice winner for MADCO’s Dare to Dance choreography competition and has choreographed for schools and companies across the country.

Student choreographers are seniors Jenasyn Baker and Amaijah Ibrahim.  Juniors Kylie Aversman, Andi Freese, Tori Heglin, and Amanda Postlethwait. Professor of Dance and Repertory Dance Ensemble Artistic Director, Janie Morgan choreographed two pieces as well.

“I think our audience will love this show. This is the second time we have had a theme for our concert and the students had to submit work to fit the theme and all the music selected is by artists who are considered legends in their genres,” stated Janie Morgan.

The concert is free to the public, but donations are always appreciated! We will have baked goods, Rep Christmas ornaments, knitted hats, and ear warmers for sale in the lobby. All proceeds go toward Repertory Dance Ensembles trip to New York City in May.
