Nunn-Faron Directing What She Inspired at Lyceum Theatre
Missouri Valley College’s own Noel Nunn-Faron is the director for What She Inspired at the Lyceum Theatre in Arrow Rock, Mo. The performance will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4.
What She Inspired is part of a readers’ theatre series bringing to life lesser-known citizens of Arrow Rock, one of Missouri’s most historically significant villages.
Nunn-Faron is a junior at Missouri Valley College pursuing a degree in speech and theatre education. She has been actively involved in the Voices of Arrow Rock class taught by Dr. Michael Kateman at Missouri Valley. Kateman is the creator and producer of What She Inspired, and he offered Nunn-Faron the opportunity to direct.
Inspired by Nellie Paige Carter’s 1938 novel Persimmon Creek, this production seeks to highlight the resilience, creativity, and courage of women whose contributions are too often overlooked.
Nunn-Faron, from O’Fallon, Mo., is enrolled in the Voices of Arrow Rock class along with Patrick Hauschildt, a senior from Hamburg, Germany; Fernando de Ornelas de Conno, a junior from Skien, Norway; and Ashtyn Sagely, a sophomore from Broken Arrow, Okla. Hauschildt serves as company manager, de Conno is fiscal manager, and Sagely handles marketing and communications.
Voices of Arrow Rock began as an official project of the Missouri 2021 Bicentennial Commemoration. It will continue through 2029—Arrow Rock’s Bicentennial.
