MVC’s Murrell Library to Host Traveling Exhibition “Deeply Rooted: Stories of Missouri Farming” this October

October 10, 2022
Missouri Valley College

Missouri Valley College’s Murrell Library will host “Deeply Rooted: Stories of Missouri Farming,” a traveling exhibition organized by the Missouri State Museum, and Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Division of State Parks. The exhibition will be on display for the public from October 2-25 during normal library hours.

The exhibit celebrates Missouri’s agricultural heritage and the people–past and present–who bring food to our table. Information is shared about how food is grown, comes to market, and general information about what farmers’ day-to-day duties entail. Highlights also include information on prehistoric agriculture, weather effects on the land and animals, urban agriculture, and the role of women in farming.
