Come home to the Valley.
Two days of games, reunions, and Viking tradition: the Torch Run and bonfire, the parade to Marshall Square, the tailgate, and Viking football.
Reserve by Thursday, Oct. 8. The Champions, Legacy & Legends Banquet (tickets required) and the 50+ Club Breakfast (free) need a reservation, and seating is limited. Call 660-831-4620 or email RNG8002@moval.edu.

Celebrate Vikings
Honor the alumni who make us proud.
Know a graduate, athlete, or team that deserves recognition? Nominate them, and visit the place where Valley history lives.
Outstanding Alumni Award
Nominate a graduate whose career, service, or character reflects the Valley. Anyone can nominate. Nominations are due April 25, and honorees are celebrated at Homecoming.
Athletic Hall of Fame
Recommend a Viking athlete, coach, or team for the Athletic Hall of Fame through Viking Athletics.
Alumni Recognition Center and Museum
Opened in 2025 on the third floor of historic Baity Hall, this gathering space holds Valley memorabilia dating back to 1906, including yearbooks and the Bible of William “Pop” Ferguson, who named the Vikings.

Join the Alumni Advisory Board
The board connects alumni with MVU and its students and builds lifelong friendships among graduates. Members volunteer, support university priorities, and spread Viking pride.
Alumni Legacy Scholarship
A $500 competitive scholarship for children and grandchildren of Missouri Valley alumni who earned a four-year degree. Graduating high school seniors and current MVU students may apply.

Support scholarships, programs, and campus. You can also add a name to the Legacy Walkway with an engraved brick.
Plan a lasting legacy
Include Missouri Valley University in your estate plans and support students for years to come.
Legacy Scholarship: who can apply and how
You can apply if you:
- Are the child or grandchild of a Missouri Valley alum who earned a four-year degree from Missouri Valley
- Are a graduating high school senior or a current MVU student
- Show strong leadership in extracurricular activities
- Have a letter of recommendation that speaks to your character
Mail these items together in one envelope:
- The Alumni Legacy Scholarship application (PDF, opens in a new tab)
- A list of your school and community activities
- A list of your academic honors
- An essay about your personal goals
- One letter of recommendation

The Alumni Association’s Awards and Recognition Committee chooses recipients each year. You can combine this award with other scholarships, but your total awards can’t be more than the cost of tuition.
