2026 Outstanding Alumni
Meet this year’s honorees.
Honored at the Champions, Legacy, & Legends Banquet during Homecoming 2026.
Outstanding Young Alumna
Kelsea Lacey
Class of 2021
Kelsea went from captain of the golf team at Missouri Valley
University to a standout leader in education. Today, she’s a seventh grade teacher, after-school reading director, doctoral candidate,
supervisor of the after school program in her district, and member
of the MVU Alumni Advisory Board. As Kelsea puts it, “I may have
left Marshall, but I never left Missouri Valley.” Thank you, Kelsea, for
continuing to inspire the next generation!
Outstanding AlumnA
Lori Godsey
Class of 1992
As an Outstanding Alumna, former cheerleader, sorority sister, and
show choir member, Lori’s connection to Missouri Valley University has
never faded. For her, it’s not just about reminiscing; it’s about actively
giving back. From mentoring students and creating internships to
helping bring MVU events to life, Lori continues to show up for the
community that shaped her. Thanks for all you do, Lori!
Outstanding Alumnus
Drew Hawkins
Class of 1906
A former English and Criminal Justice major turned Outstanding
Alumnus, Drew has been shaping lives at Missouri Valley University
since 2008. Beyond coaching MVU Women’s Soccer to historic
championship runs, he’s taught life-saving CPR skills to over 1,500
students and mentored Vikings across esports, academics, and
service. Drew proves that true leadership isn’t just about trophies; it’s
about impact.
Outstanding AlumnA
Lindsey Simmons
Class of 2010
Long before building an impressive legal career, Lindsey was making
her mark right here at Missouri Valley College as Valedictorian and
Student Body President. After graduating, she earned her J.D. from
Harvard Law School and now serves as Counsel at BakerHostetler in
Washington, D.C. Recognized among The Best Lawyers in America:
Ones to Watch in environmental litigation, Lindsey is a true testament
to where a Valley degree can take you!
