MVC to Host the American College Dance Association Conference

Missouri Valley College will host the American College Dance Association (ACDA) Conference on campus March 5-7, 2022. The conference theme is Central Celebration. This conference will be made up of face-to-face dance classes, research presentations, lectures taught by professional dancers from around the country, and amazing live performances from guest colleges.

There will be 200 faculty and students attending the conference from the region which includes Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, Indiana, Illinois, and Iowa.  There will be an abundance of dance technique classes, choreography, improvisation as well as research presentation.

“We are so excited to be hosting ACDA! It is always the highlight of the year,” said Professor of Dance, Janie Morgan. “None of my current students have had a chance to attend a conference since the last live conference was in the spring of 2019. We are looking forward to celebrating dance together.”
