Christopher Libby
Professor of Religion and Philosophy
Dr. Christopher Libby is dean of the Honors College, professor of Religion and Philosophy, and faculty sponsor for Alpha Chi Honor Society. He has taught at Valley since 2011. Libby’s teaching and scholarship are focused broadly on theoretical and applied ethical issues that arise at the intersection of philosophy and theology. His publications include “Rorty or Kierkegaard: Social Amelioration, Truth, and the Ground of Cornel West’s Normative Commitments,” International Journal of Public Theology 5, no. 2 (2011) and Truth, Community, and the Prophetic Voice: Michael Walzer, Stanley Hauerwas, and Cornel West on Justice and Peace (Lanham, Md.: Lexington Books, 2018).
