Missouri Valley University Values
God, Family, Country.
Founded on principles of faith in 1889, Missouri Valley University is a community that supports your spiritual growth, welcomes you like family, and honors those who serve our country.

God
Faith at the heart of Valley.
Missouri Valley’s story began in 1889, when leaders of the Presbyterian Church founded the college on principles of faith. Today, faith remains a cornerstone of our values-based education.
Nondenominational services are held weekly in Stewart Chapel, along with many other moments for fellowship. The Chaplain and the Office of Student Engagement are also happy to help coordinate Catholic Mass, Jewish Shabbat, and other faith-based services.
With students from all 50 states, 58 countries, and many faiths and backgrounds, we’re dedicated to supporting the religious life of every student.

In their words
One degree better, every day.
“Dr. Parisi came and talked to the men’s soccer team yesterday. He put such an emphasis on faith, God, and family. These ingredients, he said, help make us better human beings, and athletes. We have to have faith in our teammates and our classmates, they are family. He stressed to us that building our faith would make us better husbands, fathers, friends, and teammates. He also talked about continuing to improve and striving to be one degree better each and every day. He was such an inspiration to me.”
