]]> Dr. Tom Bertoncino, ATC is a Professor and Associate Dean in the School of Health Sciences. His degrees include a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Minor in Athletic Training from Pittsburg State University, a Master of Science in Education with an emphasis in Biomechanics and Exercise Physiology from the University of Kansas, an Educational Specialist in Higher Education Administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Higher Education Policy and Leadership from the University of Kansas. Before arriving at MVC, he served as the Chair of the Division of Health Sciences and the Program Director of Athletic Training and Exercise Science at the University of Saint Mary. Prior to USM, he served as the Department Chair and Professor of Athletic Training and Exercise Science. He is a Certified Athletic Trainer and an active member in the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, Mid-America Athletic Trainers’ Association, Kansas Athletic Trainers Society, and Missouri Athletic Trainers’ Association.

]]> Professor Jim Menz, MS, CES is originally from the east coast.  He was born in eastern Pennsylvania, spending most of his growing years in southern New Jersey.  He received a Bachelor’ degree from Villanova University, a Master of Science in Exercise Science from California University of Pennsylvania, and Post-Master Certificates in Rehabilitative Science and Corrective Exercise.  He began his exercise science career as a Certified Personal Trainer and Massage Therapist working with a spectrum of clients in a variety of community, athletic, and rehabilitative settings.  A very experienced university and college instructor in health and wellness with scholarly achievements in healthcare and exercise science.  Besides teaching, he enjoys playing the drums and spending time with his family.
