Master Sergeant Shawn McBee is the Senior Military Instructor for Missouri Valley College.

As the primary instructor for Missouri Valley his responsibilities include instructing Military Science Classes, coordinating PT schedules and mentoring young men and women to become officers in the United States Army.

Master Sergeant McBee has been a member of the Missouri Army National Guard for 19 years. 5 years have been as an Active Guard member (AGR), which includes a one year tour in Operation Enduring Freedom, Kabul, Afghanistan (2007-2008).

Master Sergeant McBee served as the Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection Officer for Bravo Battery 1st BN 129th Field Artillery during his tour in Afghanistan, Battalion Fire Direction Chief and Platoon Sergeant for Headquarters and Headquarters Battery (HHB) 1st BN 129th Field Artillery Battalion, and is currently the Operations Sergeant for the Fire Support Cell, 110th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade in Kansas City, MO.

Master Sergeant McBees military awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Overseas Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with M Device, Army Service Ribbon, and NATO Medal.
