Sarah Schroeder Signs to Compete on the Shotgun Sports Team

Marshall, Mo. (June 1, 2017)- Kearney, Mo., native Sarah Schroeder has signed to compete on the shotgun sports team at Missouri Valley College. 

 

Schroeder will serve as team captain for the program’s inaugural 2017 season.  She comes to Missouri Valley after a successful high school and youth career.  While at Kearney (Mo.) High School, Schroeder was a two-time state qualify, in 2012 and 2013, and was named the top shooter in the state in 2013.  In 2014, Schroeder competed at the AIM Grand Nationals, the Missouri State Shoot and placed first in the women’s division at the KCTA Spring Break’em.  In 2015, Schroeder took part in the ALCI National Championship, competing in skeet, trap, international trap, stand and international skeet

 

“Sarah will be a great addition to the team, and will help lead us into our first season,” said Shotgun Sports Head Coach Shane Reickard.  “Sarah brings a tremendous amount of experience and knowledge into the program, and we’re looking forward to starting our first season.”

 

Missouri Valley is introducing shotgun sports to its Athletic Department lineup.  The teams will begin competition in the 2017-18 athletic year, led by Shane Reickard, who comes to the college from Wentworth (Mo.) Junior College.

 

Schroeder plans to major in exercise science and is the daughter of Kevin and Julie Schroeder of Kearney, Mo.
