Darion Weber Signs to Compete in Shotgun Sports

Marshall, Mo. (May 19, 2017)- Richmond, Mo., native Darion Weber has signed to compete on the shotgun sports team at Missouri Valley College. 


Weber, formerly of Richmond (Mo.) High School and Wentworth (Mo.) Junior College, comes to Missouri Valley after a collegiate basketball career at Wentworth.  In high school, Weber competed on the Richmond softball, girl’s basketball and girl’s track and field teams.  In addition to athletics, Weber has been active in FFA, FBLA, NHS and the A+ Program. 


“I am extremely excited to have Darion come to Missouri Valley to compete on our team,” said Shotgun Sports Head Coach Shane Reickard.  “This is a new program for the college, and Darion is one of our first recruits.  I’m looking forward to what she will bring to the team.”


Missouri Valley is introducing shotgun sports to its Athletic Department lineup.  The teams will begin competition in the 2017-18 athletic year, led by Shane Reickard, who comes to the college from Wentworth (Mo.) Junior College.


Weber plans to finish her athletic training degree at Missouri Valley and is the daughter of Michael and Carrie Weber.
