Track and Field Competes at Zack Kindler Wildcat Open

Marshall, Mo. (April 29, 2017)- The Missouri Valley College track and field teams competed at the Zack Kindler Wildcat Open at Baker (Kan.) University Saturday.


Men’s Results:


Junior Victor Reveles (Los Angeles, Calif.) placed first in 5000 meter run, with a time of 16:14.63.


Junior Edwin Ortiz Lopez (Santa Ana, Calif.) placed second in 5000 meter run, with a time of 16:50.62.


Freshman Ethan Carden (Versailles, Mo.) placed second in hammer, with a throw of 36.42 meters.


Freshman Austin Johnson placed No. 5 in the 1500 meter run, with a time of 4:24.71.


Junior Ulises Ortiz (North Hills, Calif.) placed No. 9 in the 1500 meter run, with a time of 4:30.14.


Freshman Justin Kita (Eire, Pa.) placed No. 14 in the 1500 meter run, with a time of 4:37.59.


Women’s Results:


Freshman Sheila Lazaro (Murcia, Spain) placed No. 5 in javelin, with a throw of 23.71 meters.


Freshman Lacey Toynes (Dallas, Texas) placed No. 6 in hammer, with a throw of 28.98 meters.


The track and field teams will next compete in the Heart Conference Championships at William Penn (Iowa) University at Oskaloosa, Iowa, May 5-6.
