Women's Lacrosse Puts Four on All-Conference Team

Marshall, Mo. (April 19, 2017)- The Missouri Valley College women’s lacrosse team has put four of its student-athletes on the 2017 KCAC Women’s Lacrosse All-Conference Team.  Three Vikings were chosen as first team members, with one selected to the second team.


Senior Midfielder Myleka Booze (Baltimore, Md.), Freshman Midfielder Payge Farewell (Henderson, Nev.) and Junior Defender Kristen Hildreth (Oklahoma City, Okla.) were first team all-conference selections.  Farewell led the team in goals (26) and points (30).  She ranked sixth in the KCAC in goals and ninth in points.  Booze, who was a first team selection in 2016, finished the season second on the team in goals (19) and points (22).  She also led the team, and the KCAC, in shots (75) and groundballs (39) and finished second in the KCAC in draw controls (37).  Hildreth finished the season with 15 groundballs and helped a Viking defense that gave up just 7.5 goals per game. 


Selected to the all-conference second team was Junior Goalkeeper April Hennen (St. Charles, Mo.).  Hennen finished the season with 97 total saves.  She also collected 20 groundballs.  Hennen was third in the KCAC in goals against average (9.42), save percentage (.462) and total saves.


The Viking women’s lacrosse team finished the season with a 4-8 overall record and a 2-4 record in the KCAC.
