Viking Cheer Team Fifth After Prelim Round at National Championship

Marshall, Mo. (March 10, 2017)- The Missouri Valley College cheerleading team competed in the preliminary round of the 2017 NAIA Competitive Cheerleading and Dance Championships in Oklahoma City, Okla., Friday evening.  The Vikings finished fifth after its first competition.


Missouri Valley was awarded with a score of 75.02 in the preliminary round Friday.  The Vikings trail first place Oklahoma City University (89.37), University of St. Francis (Ind.) (80.77), Davenport (Mich.) University (76.97) and Lindenwood (Ill.) University-Belleville (76.68).


The Vikings will compete in the event finals Saturday, and will perform at 11:10 a.m., at Abe Lemons Arena in Oklahoma City.
