Marshall, Mo. (November 6, 2016)- The Missouri Valley College men’s cross country team captured the 2016 Heart of America Athletic Conference championship Saturday afternoon, and finishes the regular season ranked No. 9 in the NAIA Men’s Cross Country Coaches’ Top 25 Poll.

The Viking captured the programs third conference title, and first since 2013, Saturday at Swope Park in Kansas City, Mo.  The team was led by Junior Ulysses Orozco (Lake Forest, Calif.) who finished second individually.  The five team scorers for Missouri Valley placed in the top 13, all earning all-conference honors.
