Posted October 24, 2016

The Missouri Valley College Fine Arts Division will present the comedy, “On the Verge,” at 7:30 p.m. nightly, November 9 -12 in the Eckilson-Mabee Theatre on the MVC campus.

“On the Verge” tells the story of three Victorian women, Alex, Fanny, and Mary, facing challenges as they explore an unknown land they surmise is Terra Incognita. The ladies bushwack and march their way through the heavy jungle and find themselves  in the middle of the  20th century, facing many challenges along the way. After a while, they begin to suspect that the land they believe they are roaming may not be just that. During this humorous and whimsical play, the three women begin to discover each of their individual journeys after their many unusual encounterings.

This production is directed by Harold Hynick, MVC associate professor of theatre with scene and lighting by Jay Rozema, MVC associate professor of theatre and costume design by Dyann Rozema, MVC instructor of theatre. Serving as stage managers are Terrence Mickens and Megan Ross. Cast members include Alexandria Taylor as Mary; Reevaw Lewis as Fanny; Makayla Rodgers as Alex; and Tyrone Harris as Grover, Alphonse, Gus, Troll, Yeti Nicky, and Mr. Coffee.
