Viking Cheer Takes Fifth at NAIA Invitational

Marshall, Mo. (March 14, 2015)- The Missouri Valley College cheerleading squad took part in the 2015 NAIA Competitive Cheer and Dance National Invitational Saturday at Midland (Neb.) University.  The Vikings placed fifth as a team at the competition.


Missouri Valley entered the National event after receiving an at-large bid following regional competition last month.  The Vikings placed fifth with a team score of 87.17.  Taking the team championship was Oklahoma City University which scored 90.45.


The Viking cheer squad will next compete at the NCA Collegiate Cheer Championship in Daytona Beach, Fla.  Missouri Valley will compete in the small co-ed division.  The competition takes place from Apr. 8-12.
