Viking Football to Play at Arrowhead Stadium Oct. 11Posted June 24, 2014
Marshall, Mo. (June 24, 2014)- The Missouri Valley College football team will play in the inaugural NAIA Gridiron Challenge at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium on Oct.11. This Heart of America Athletic Conference game will be played against MidAmerica Nazarene University.
The No. 7 Vikings will play the MNU Pioneers in the first game of the doubleheader at 3 p.m. The second game will feature Baker University and Benedictine College at 7 p.m.
“This is a great opportunity for our players and everyone involved with the program,” said Viking Head Football Coach Paul Troth. “We are very excited about this opportunity to play at Arrowhead Stadium.”
Tickets go on sale June 26 at 12 p.m.-noon. A select number of tickets will be sold by Missouri Valley College and can be purchased by calling the Alumni Relations Office at 660-831-4006 during regular business hours. Tickets for the game are $18 for general admission seating and student tickets are available for $8 with a valid student I.D. that must be presented upon stadium entry.
General admission tickets purchased the day of the game or via Ticketmaster will be sold for $20 and student tickets will be sold for $10, with a valid student I.D. Tickets can be ordered by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000, online atwww.ticketmaster.com or at the Arrowhead Stadium Ticket Office located between the Founder’s Plaza and the Hy-Vee Gate on the north side of the stadium.
“We would like to thank the Chiefs organization, the NAIA, the HAAC and everyone else involved in getting this event started,” said Missouri Valley College Athletic Director Tom Fifer. “This will be a great event for everyone involved and bring some nice exposure to the conference and to Missouri Valley.”
The Vikings will open their season on Sept. 13 hosting Tabor College at Gregg-Mitchell Field at 6 p.m., for Family Weekend.
