MVC's Clarissa Molina Competes in Round One of NAIA Women's Golf National ChampionshipPosted May 20, 2014
Marshall, Mo. (May 20, 2014)- Missouri Valley College women’s golfer Freshman Clarissa Molina took part in round one of the NAIA Women’s Golf National Championship at Wilderness Ridge Golf Club in Lincoln, Neb., Tuesday.
In her first round of play, Molina shot a +17 (89) to sit at No. 119 overall heading into round two on Wednesday. Molina is the first women’s golfer in program history to compete at the NAIA National Championship and earned her way into the tournament by being the individual champion at the Heart of America Athletic Conference Tournament earlier this month.
Molina will begin round two with an 8:20 a.m., tee time. A cut will be administered after all golfers complete their second round play. The cut-line will be determined after the second round is complete.
