Vikings Sign Texas Native Darryl Nick Lemear to Recruiting Class

Marshall, Mo. (May 9, 2014)-  Manor, Texas native Darryl Nick Lemear has signed a letter-of-intent to play men’s basketball at Missouri Valley College beginning with the 2014-2015 season.


Lemear, from Manor (Texas) High School, has been a stand-out player for the school’s basketball program.  He was named first team all-district and was named the Most Improved Player.  Lamear was also a Central Texas All-Star during his time in high school.


“The coaches are excited about Darryl wanting to come to Missouri Valley and be apart of the Viking program,” says Head Men’s Basketball Coach Chad Lance.  “Lemear is the type of player we are looking for that will help carry our program to the next level.”


The MVC men’s basketball program is led by Head Coach Chad Lance who recently wrapped up season No. 11 leading the Vikings.  During the past season Lance broke the all-time wins record for the program as a head coach, amassing 158 victories.


Lemear plans to major in exercise science and the is the son of Darryl & Grances Lemear and Nikki Dawson of Manor, Texas.
