MVC Rodeo Teams Compete in MississippiPosted April 7, 2014
Marshall, Mo. (April 7, 2014)- The Missouri Valley College rodeo teams competed at the Northwest Mississippi Community College rodeo in Senatobia, Miss. The men’s team finished in fifth place while the women’s team took seventh.
On the men’s side Sophomore Dalton Kingery (Monroe, Iowa) won the saddle bronc riding competition. Freshman JD Stuxness (Milan, Minn.) placed fifth in steer wrestling. While nn the women’s side, Senior Shyanne Masters (Leon, Iowa) placed third in goat tying.
In the Ozark Region standings, the Viking men’s rodeo team remains in second place behind Tennessee-Martin. The MVC women’s team remains in fourth place in the region.
The rodeo teams will compete this weekend at the University of Tennessee-Martin rodeo in Martin, Tenn., which completes the 2013-2014 regular season for the rodeo program.
