MVC Tennis Teams Defeat Westminster College TuesdayPosted April 1, 2014
Marshall, Mo. (April 1, 2014)- The Missouri Valley College tennis teams hosted Westminster College in matches Tuesday afternoon at Indian Foothills Park. Both the men’s and women’s team on their matchups and extended their winning streaks.
Both teams defeated Ottawa by 8-1 scores in matches. The win pushed the men’s team to 10-1 on the season while the women’s team moved to 9-2. The men’s team has now won 10 in a row and the women’s team has won eight-straight.
Also Tuesday, the Missouri Valley College men’s tennis remained just outside the fourth regular season edition of the NAIA Men’s Tennis Coaches’ Top 25 Poll. The Vikings are in the poll’s “others receiving votes” category where they have been located since the preseason.
Both the men’s and women’s tennis teams are scheduled to be in action again Wednesday at Indian Foothills Park hosting NCAA Division II William Jewell College with matches at 3:30 p.m.
