MVC Softball Drops Two Games in Tucson Sunday

Marshall, Mo. (March 9, 2014)- The Missouri Valley College softball team played two game Sunday at the Tucson Invitational. The Vikings lost to Robert Morris College 6-5, and were defeated by No. 22 Park University 6-1.


The Vikings had a late lead against Robert Morris, leading by a 5-1 score heading into the seventh inning, but gave up six runs in the final inning to suffer the 6-5 defeat. In the second game of the day, the Vikings played No. 22 Park University, but were defeated by the Nationally ranked opponent 6-1.


The pair of losses drop MVC to 1-3 on the season.


The Vikings will play two more afternoon games Monday in Tucson, Ariz., against Dakota Wesleyan and Concordia University.
