MVC Men's Volleyball Stays at No. 9 in Latest Poll

Marshall, Mo. (March 3, 2014)- The Missouri Valley College men’s volleyball team went 2-2 in their four matches last week, but remained ranked No.9  in the latest NAIA Men’s Volleyball Top 10 Poll released Monday.


The first match last week for the Vikings was a road loss against No. 4 Missouri Baptist University, 3-1, followed by a loss to No. 7 St. Ambrose University, 3-2 in the MBU Invitational. The Vikings closed out the MBU tournament with two wins over Emmanuel, 3-1, and Cardinal Stritch, 3-0.  MVC moved its record to 13-8 on the season.


The Vikings will play 5 matches this week, including a home matchup with No.3 Park University Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. The Vikings will then head to Iowa for the St. Ambrose Tournament where they will play Culver Stockton College and Emmanuel College on Friday, and Graceland University and No.1 Concordia-Irvine University on Saturday.
