MVC Men's Volleyball Moves Up to No. 8 Ranking

Marshall, Mo. (January 27, 2014)- The Missouri Valley College men’s volleyball team finished with a 3-1 record in matches last week, and moved up one spot to the No. 8 ranking in the latest NAIA Men’s Volleyball Top 10 Poll released Monday


The Vikings picked up their first home victory of the season last week against Graceland University 25-13, 25-19, 25-18.  The Vikings followed that up with two wins at the MVC Invitational over the weekend, one against Cardinal Stritch University 25-22, 23-25, 25-19, 22-25, 15-10, and the second against Lindenwood University-Belleville 25-13, 25-16, 25-16.  The lone loss came to Warner University 16-25, 21-25, 23-25.  MVC is now 7-1 on the season.


The Vikings will play four matches this week.  MVC will travel to Hannibal-LaGrange University on a Monday for a 7 p.m. match.  Wednesday, the Vikings will host Culver-Stockton College at 7 p.m. and on Friday the Vikings will play at the Grand View Tournament in Des Moines, Iowa with a 5 p.m. match against Grand View University and a 7 p.m. match against St. Ambrose University.
