Add / Edit a Web Page

The web page resource allows you to create a web page without having to know HTML code. There is a build-in WYSIWYG editor on top, which allows you to type the text of your page in a similar manner to most word processing programs.

Add a Web Page

  • Go to the course home page and click the Turn Editing on button in the top right.
  • Choose Compose a Web Page from the Add a Resource dropdown menu.
  • Modify settings:
    • Give the page a Name.
    • The Summary is optional - it will appear on the Resources index page only
    • Type or paste the text of the page in the Full text area; format as desired with the html-editor controls:
      • Enlarge the editor, by clikcing Enlarge Editor
        (Enlarge Edit) icon in the right corner
      • Modify the HTML code directly by clickin the Toggle HTML Source (Toggle HTML) icon
  • Click the Save Changes button.

Edit a Web Page

  • Go to the site homepage
  • Click Turn Editing on button
  • Click the Update icon (edit) next to the page name.

OR

  • Click the name of the page.
  • Click the Update this Resource button in the top right corner.
  • Make your changes.
  • Click the Save Changes button.

Delete a Web Page

  • Go to the site homepage
  • Click Turn Editing on button
  • Click the Delete icon (delete) next to the text page name.
