Missouri Valley College Self-Study Report for the
Higher Learning Commission

Missouri Valley College welcomes officials of the Higher Learning Commission for a comprehensive accreditation visit November 4-6, 2013. The Commission evaluates all of the Collegeís operations, from teaching and learning to planning for the future. Accreditation assures the quality of higher education here and provides incentives for continual improvement. Missouri Valley College has been continuously accredited since 1916. The visitors consider evidence demonstrating how Missouri Valley College fulfills its mission and goals by complying with federal regulations and by meeting the Commissionís five criteria, the standards of quality to be met in order to merit continued accreditation:

  • Teaching and Learning: Quality, Resources, and Support
  • Teaching and Learning: Evaluation and Improvement
  • Resources, Planning, and Institutional Effectiveness
