Fine Arts Division - Theatre Scholarships

Fine Arts Talent Scholarships: This participation scholarship is awarded to both major and non-major students who participate in Theatre, Music, and Dance. The scholarships are variable in value and range from $1,000 to $10,000. These scholarships are awarded for four years and stay with you throughout your studies at Missouri Valley College.

Students receiving this scholarship will meet the following criteria:

  • Will provide an audition or portfolio presentation to the faculty
  • Will provide any audition / Portolio through Acceptd, during a campus visit, at Missouri Thespians Festival, or by arrangements with the Theatre Faculty at your school.
  • Will participate with productions either on stage or back stage every semester you hold the scholarship

The “Rose” Scholarship: (2) $1000 scholarships are awarded each year. The donor of this scholarship was an MVC student who loved participating in theatre, especially technical theatre. She wasn’t a major, she just had a love of theatre and wanted to give back.

Students receiving this scholarship will meet the following criteria:

  • will be a Junior or Senior during the year the award is used
  • will be a declared theatre major
  • will maintain a 2.5+ GPA
  • will be a student who contributes to the classroom as well as production work
  • will be a full time student that exemplifies a passion and dedication for the work they do in the Theatre, Music, and Dance Department

The “Lashley” Scholarship:(1) $1000 scholarship is awarded each year. The donors of this scholarship include MVC faculty and staff. Those that donate to this scholarship fund do so because they have a genuine interest in the Theatre Department and its students.

Students receiving this scholarship will meet the following criteria:

  • will be a Junior or Senior during the year the award is used
  • maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 will be a full time student (majoring in theatre) that has exemplified outstanding service to Theatre, Music, and Dance
