Music Department - Jazz Ensemble

Jazz Ensemble. Jazz ensemble meets twice a week at 1:40 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The band performs three concerts a year. The band also performs at the annual jazz festival held at MVC in January. The band is open to all students who wish to continue experiencing instrumental music following high school. Jazz festivals throughout Missouri are also included on the itinerary of the jazz ensemble. No audition required.

Small Ensembles. Small ensembles are formed at the beginning of each semester based on student instrumentation and interest. Previous ensembles have included jazz trios, jazz combos, saxophone quartets, brass quartets and quintets. Other ensembles may include Flute, Clarinet, and Trombone trios and quartets. The ensembles perform at schools, churches, and for civic groups in Marshall and surrounding towns. No audition required.
