Art in Motion

I am very excited about the third year of our rotating sculpture exhibit, Art in Motion, on the Missouri Valley College campus in Marshall, MO. We featured four artists last year in our exhibit, and we are currently searching for new works to include. Although our campus is situated in a rural locale, we pride ourselves on the diversity of our students, faculty, staff and community. Our student body, of about 1,400 students, represent over 35 states and 30 countries. This exhibit greatly enhances that diversity and our campus culture.

Our committee is seeking work for a third year of Art in Motion, and we are hoping to review some of your work. The selected work will remain on campus for 12 months (July 2012 - June 2013). All finalists, whose works are selected, will receive a $1,000 honorarium to offset transportation and incidental expenses. Installation equipment will be provided by Missouri Valley College.

Please send to me at woodardc@moval.edu two to five different images of outdoor sculptures you would have available to include in the exhibit. After receiving these images, the committee will review the submissions. If you have any questions or would like any additional information about Art in Motion, do not hesitate to contact me.
