Dance Department

The Department of Dance within the Division of Fine Arts is committed to developing the full potential of students through creative and intellectual inquire. Students have numerous opportunities to perform, choreograph, and design for productions. We offer a variety of coursework and training in ballet, modern, jazz and tap technique, improvisation, composition, dance history, independent study and more.

Missouri Valley College's Department of Dance seeks to:

  • Ensure the student exhibits academic and artistic excellence
  • Develop motivation, independent thinking and self discipline
  • Provide experimental opportunities in performance, choreography and teaching
  • Provide students the opportunities to work with guest artists
  • Give students the knowledge to hone their technical skills through safe dance practices
