Jennifer L. Livengood
Assistant Professor, Psychology
Jennifer Livengood earned her MS in Psychology from Kansas State University in 2010 and began teaching at Missouri Valley College the same year. She has taught a variety of courses including Developmental Psychology, Human Sexuality, Experimental Psychology, Research Methods, and Senior Seminar courses. She also teaches graduate courses in the MACC program, including Human Lifespan Development and Counseling Research Methods. In 2013, she was recognized as the Excellent Faculty Member of the Social Science Division, as voted on by graduating seniors.
Her main research interests include social perceptions of mother-child relationships, parenting approaches and parental experiences. She has presented research at meetings of the Society for Research of Child Development, Midwestern Psychological Association, and the Association for Psychological Science.
