Brett Holt - Head Men's Volleyball Coach

Brett Holt begins his second year as the men’s volleyball coach at Missouri Valley College, where he guided the Vikings to a 21-9 overall record, 2nd place conference finish, and 7th national ranking, while breaking the school record for wins in a single season during the 2012 season. Coach Holt will also be entering his first year as the women’s volleyball coach at MVC, after serving as the graduate assistant during the 2011 season.
In college, Coach Holt was a four-year setter on The Ohio State University men’s volleyball club team. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in sport and leisure studies with a concentration in recreation management and coaching from TheOhio State University.
Previous to joining the staff, Coach Holt has held various coaching positions at the high school, club, and collegiate club levels. As the varsity assistant at West Holmes High School in Millersburg, Ohio from 1999-2006, the team made six appearances in the Ohio High School Division 2 State Final Four, including runner-up finishes in 2002, 2003, and 2004. He was also the head coach from 2000-2005 of the women’s club team at The Ohio State University, where in 2005, he guided the Buckeyes to a National runner-up finish at the N.I.R.S.A Collegiate Club Championships in Kansas City. He spent 2011 as the head coach of the 17-U National girl’s team with Mintonette Sports, the top club program in Central Ohio.
Coach Holt is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in sport and athletic business administration from the University of Central Missouri.
Kyle South-Assistant Men's Volleyball Coach

Kyle South is entering his first season as an assistant coach with the Vikings. Coach South joins the program after finishing a successful season as an assistant with Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, IA where he helped the team to a 45-8 record and a 5th place finish at the NJCAA National Tournament.
Coach South has been involved with volleyball throughout his life. As a player, he was a setter for men’s club programs at Lewis Central High School, Iowa State University, and Kansas State University. Since then he has been heavily involved in coaching prep volleyball at the high school and club level. In 2008, Coach South served as the varsity assistant at Bellevue West High School in Bellevue, NE. Following that he spent two years at Lewis Central High School in Council Bluffs as an assistant before moving up to the college ranks in 2011.
Coach South spent 5 seasons coaching 17’s and 18’s teams for the Kansas Volleyball Club Jets and Top Ten Volleyball club, respectively. In addition to team coaching, he runs several successful volleyball camps every summer as well as providing individual technical training to area youth throughout the year.
Coach South received his degree in Music from Manhattan Christian College in Manhattan, KS in 2009 and will begin pursuing a Masters of Kinesiology this fall.
Ashley Jackson-Assistant Men's Volleyball Coach

Ashley Jackson begins her first season as a graduate assistant for the women's volleyball program at Missouri Valley College. Coach Jackson comes to Missouri Valley after completing her colligiate volleyball career at NCAA Division II Urbana (Ohio) University, where she played as a middle blocker.
Coach Jackson also has served as a club coach for the Bean City Volleyball club, and has helped run numerous middle school and high school clinics. Coach Jackson also received the Athletic Director Academic Award while playing at Urbana.
Coach Jackson is pursuing a Master's of Arts-Management degree from Lindenwood University.
