Coach CarneyCoach Carney graduated from Westminster College in May of 2003 with a degree in business education. At Westminster Coach Carney played tennis for four years, where he was a first-team all-conference performer and conference champion each year. Coach Carney was selected the male athlete of the year at Westminster in 2003.

A Marshall native, Coach Carney enters his seventh year with the Vikings and has worked hard to develop a solid program. He was named the Region V Men's Coach of the Year in 2005 when the Vikings men's team reached a #22 national ranking. Most recently Coach Carney led the women's team to a 2009 Heart of America Conference Championship and NAIA National Championship appearance.  Coach Carney resides in Marshall with his wife, Amy.
