Samantha Kendall
Head Cheer Coach

The Missouri Valley Cheerleading Program is under the direction of Samantha Kendall.  Kendall is beginning her first season as Head Coach of the Viking Cheerleaders, and she has a long history of success as a competitive cheerleader.

Kendall’s cheerleading career began at Pendleton Heights High School in Pendleton, Indiana where she cheered for four years.  During this time her team not only won a state title but they won a national title as well!  In addition to cheering on her high school team, she cheered for Deveaus ACA Elite All-Stars in Fisher, Indiana.  Her All-Star team won 2 district titles, 2 regional titles, and 2 national championships during her time with them! 

Following graduation, Kendall became a UCA staff instructor as well as a head instructor for larger camps.  She continued her cheerleading career as a member of the Missouri Valley College Cheerleading team where she was a member of the nationally ranked team for four years. During her time at Missouri Valley College, the cheerleading team competed at the UCA National Championships in Orlando, Florida.  The team finished 8th place in 2006, 6th place in both 2007 and 2008, and 9th place in 2009.  The team placed 3rd at the HAAC Spirit Squad Championships in 2006 and 2nd place in 2007 and 2009.  Kendall was also captain of the Viking Cheerleading team in 2009.

Coach Kendall received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing.  She is currently working on her Master of Arts Degree in Business Marketing.

Ashley Williams
Assistant Cheer Coach

 

This year, Ashley Williams is beginning her coaching career as the assistant coach for the Viking cheerleading squad. Williams was a member of the MVC cheerleading squad for 2 years (2006-08) and competed with the squad at the national level for three years (2007/2008/2009). She graduated from Lamar High School in Lamar, Missouri in 2006, where she participated in football and basketball cheerleading and competed at the state level. Williams is a senior at Missouri Valley College majoring in elementary education. She and her husband currently live in Marshall, Missouri.
