Recommended Categories for Nomination

Men:

Letterman/athletes that participated and brought recognition and prominence to Missouri Valley College.

Women:

Letterman/athletes that participated and brought recognition and prominence to Missouri Valley College.

Teams:

Sport teams that brought recognition to Missouri Valley College through their outstanding performance.

Community Service - Educator - Coach:

Outstanding contributions and/or accomplishments in the area of community service, professional advancement, church service, and service to Missouri Valley College. Coaches, athletic officials, staff members, and other college officials and individuals who have made major contributions to Missouri Valley College Athletic program through a commitment of personal time, effort, and interest.

50 +:

Individuals who are alumni of Missouri Valley College for a minimum of fifty (50) years and participated and brought recognition and prominence to the Athletic programs of Missouri Valley College.

Posthumous:

Individuals who are deceased and have participated and/or brought recognition and prominence to the Athletic programs of Missouri Valley College.

Receiving Nominations

Procedures for receiving nominations to the Athletic Hall of Fame:

How Do We Notify:

Notifications for nominations will be made through the Viking View Publication, Missouri Valley College Web site, and other alumni publications through the year.

Who Can Make Nominations:

All alumni are eligible to submit nominations to the Athletic Hall of Fame Nomination and Selection committee for consideration.

Forms To Be Used:

The MVC Hall of Fame Nomination Form will be the official nomination document. No other nominations forms will be accepted.

Timelines for Nominations

• All nominations for the Athletic Hall of Fame shall be submitted no later than January 31 each year.
• Nominations shall be kept for two years. Individuals not selected by the Hall of Fame Board of Directors shall be returned to the nominator. A nomination can be re-submitted for an additional two years of consideration.
• Elections for the Athletic Hall of Fame will be held prior to April 10th. Notification to inductees will be made by April 15th each year.
• Inductee acceptance or rejection shall be returned for inclusion in the Athletic Hall of Fame by May 15th each year.

Notifying Nominees

Nominees will be notified by the President of Missouri Valley College.

Arrangements for attendance at the Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet will be coordinated with the Director of Development of Missouri Valley College.

All public announcements will be coordinated through the Development Office.
