Reed Kepner
Class of 2004

Reed arrived at Valley in 1962 after concluding his graduate work at the University of Kansas.  For 23 years he coached and served as the athletic trainer for the football team.  “Doc” assisted the cross country team for five years, the women’s track team for four years, the men’s track team for six years, the basketball program for 12 years, and the soccer program for six years.

Reed was an honorary member of Beta Beta Beta biology society, Gamma Alpha science society, and a member of the Association for the Advancement of Sciences.

There is no other person who has coached, taught, or mentored more students and athletes in the last 40 years at Missouri Valley College than Reed Kepner.
