Elmer H. Horman

Class of 1993

Elmer graduated from Missouri Valley College in 1948 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.  Elmer enrolled at Missouri Valley College after his graduation from Marshall High School in 1941.  Elmer’s college days were interrupted with a three-year service as a United States Air Force pilot.  Elmer served 14 months overseas with the Eighth Air Force in England, completing 45 combat missions as a P-51 fighter pilot.

Elmer returned to school in 1948 and quarterbacked the Viking football team to two post season victories.  Elmer earned letters in basketball, track and field, and football, and also served as the Missouri Valley College Student Body President.

For many years Elmer was a partner and general manager of the Horman Meat Company in Marshall.
