J. Marvin “Juicy” Sprigg
Class of 1989
“Juicy” graduated from Missouri Valley College in 1952 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. “Juicy” was a four-year football letterman at running back. “Juicy” is the only living Missouri Valley College football player to compete in five post-season bowl games. “Juicy” was selected as an All-Conference halfback and was a pre-season member of the Green Bay Packers.
“Juicy” is a supervisor for a group home at the Nevada (MO) Habilitation Center and has earned 20 hours towards a Master’s Degree in Parks and Recreation Administration. “Juicy” has been a licensed umpire for the Amateur Softball Association since 1967.
Marvin and his wife Virginia Lee (MVC ’84) have five children and three grandchildren.
