James J. Heinzler

Class of 1988

Jim graduated from Missouri Valley College in 1958.  While a member of the Viking football team Jim was an outstanding tackle and earned numerous All-Conference honors, All-District honors, and NAIA All-American honors.  Jim was also a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity, Vice-President of the Newman Club, and a V-Club member.

Following graduation Jim taught and coached at Mercy High School (seven years), and Carrollton High School (six years) and finishing his 15 years in education with two years of teaching at Kirksville High School.

Jim has three children, Stephen, James G., and Susan, and seven grandchildren.
