William O. Taylor
Class of 1978
William graduated from Missouri Valley College in 1934; nicknamed “Crabby” William earned four letters in football and two letters in track and field. In 1932 and 1933 William was selected for both the Missouri All-Star Team and the M.C.A.U. All-Star Team at the half back position.
Following graduation William was a teacher and coach at Weston (MO) High School, Macon (MO) High School, and Brookfield (MO) High School. In 1942 William was named the High School Principal at Macon High School, and from 1948 to 1951 he served as Superintendent of School at Weston. William moved to Culver City, California to become the secondary school principal in 1952 for the California Unified School District, a position he held until his retirement in 1975.
William moved to Lamar, Missouri after his retirement where he occasionally works as a substitute teacher.
